Pee Wee Minor (98) Tournament Rules

General Rules:

1.        Tournament headquarters is at the Edge Sports Center in Bedford, MA.

2.        A team official must report to the arenas where the game is scheduled one hour prior to game time to receive your official game sheet.   It is the responsibility of the team official to validate and edit the game sheet roster prior to the start of the game.  A team head or assistant coach must sign the game sheet following the completion of the game.  Teams will receive a copy of the completed game sheet signed by both teams and on-ice officials. 

3.        A Team official can call John Murphy at (617) 512-0752 for any questions or concerns.

4.        All teams must be ready to play ten (10) minutes prior to scheduled start times.

5.        Games will be played under USA Hockey rules. (No tag up offsides, mouth guards required, etc.)

6.        The Tournament sponsors, director, all members of the East Coast Wizards and Harvard University, its executives, coaches, volunteers, and appointed representatives, are not responsible for any injury to a player or fan, lost items of equipment, or expenses incurred by any participating team.  Also, it is the teams’ and parents’ of participating player’s responsibility that all players are covered by insurance prior to the Tournament.

7.        There will be a three minute warm-up before each game, which will begin once the ice resurfacer doors close and the timer blows the horn.  Round robin games will be comprised of three (3) twelve (12) minute stop-time periods.  Playoff games will be three (3) fifteen (15) minute periods.

8.        There are NO timeouts throughout the tournament.

9.        Home team decides which jerseys, light or dark, to wear.

10.     If a team is leading by five (5) goals or more entering the third period, running time shall commence.  Stop time will resume only if the goal differential is three (3) or if an injury occurs.
